NARRATIVE ESSAY: MY SHORT EXCURSION TO TAPIAS VIEJAS

It is incredible how many people do not know many beautiful places in their own state. It was about 3 or 4 years ago in a sunny day when other women and I visited Tapias Viejas in Jesus Maria as a gift of the priest of our church. There, we shared an amazing feeling with nature.
That day, I woke up at 6 am and I was very excited because that was going to be my first short trip without my family. When I finished preparing my lunch, I woke up my dad, so that he could take me to the church and get together with the other catechism teachers and then depart to Jesus Maria.
When we were on the bus, the priest told us some words about how he was feeling about the excursion and everyone began to sing. On the way, I ate my sandwich and talked with some of my friends about where we were going to stay and eat. Finally, we arrived to that place which looked kind of scary.
In sight, it looked like a desert but what was my surprise when after we crossed a river, it was full of green grass and many flowers; moreover, in the distance, I could see a third-floor house, there, we would stay and eat. The adventure was beginning…
We had a 6-kilometer walk. In the walk we crossed a longer river than the first one, also I saw 3 snakes in the way and everyone could hear sounds among the herb. We returned to the house to eat and then came back to Aguascalientes.
On the bus, many of us agreed that it was a beautiful experience in a place that we did not know. It was amazing and I will never forget that day. I really wish to go back again.
